Abstracts

Participants can present their research work either as oral or poster at ISLL-8 in both languages English or Arabic. The deadline for submitting abstracts is July 30th 2025. The Scientific Committee accepts submission of abstracts with original contributions on any topic related to any technical session. Abstracts will be published in the form submitted by the author after revision (if suggested by the concerned Chairpersons). Acceptance letters will be sent to the Presenting Author by e-mail only.

Abstract must be written in English or Arabic (for Arabs participants should send both language abstracts, and the foreign participants the organizing committee will translate it to Arabic language).

should be in plain text without any special symbol, formula, diagram or data table.

Please submit your abstract using the following emails:

We recommend a brief title of no more than 25 words, with the first letter of every word containing four letters or more capitalized.

Within 250 words, the abstract must clearly state the research problem or question, the methodology, and the work's results; it should not include any figures, tables, or references.

Maximum of 6 keywords separated by semicolons (;) which best describe the study should be added at the end of the abstract text.

After paying the requisite nonrefundable symposium registration fee, before the deadline of August 15th, 2025, the authors will receive an "acceptance of abstract" for oral/poster presentations, ensuring their abstracts are scheduled in the respective sessions.

We give 20 minutes to invited keynotes, followed by 5 minutes for discussion. Contributed papers are 15 minutes long, with 5 minutes for discussion. We will strictly adhere to these times, as discussion is often crucial to the presented work.

Any presenter may give a maximum of one oral contributed talk at ISLL-8; all other papers need to be presented in a poster format.

ISLL-8 may revise the presentation type based on their evaluation, and their decision will be binding on the presenting author.

All presenters must deliver their presentations in either English or Arabic/English. One or more speakers must prepare each presentation in English or Arabic/English, with a maximum duration of 15 minutes; following this, we will allocate approximately five minutes for questions and answers. We recommend delivering a PowerPoint presentation of your research work on the symposium day. You can save a copy of your presentation in your email and also bring it to a USB stick.

The symposium program organizes poster presentations into sessions on the same overall topic. The symposium program schedules each session for a specific day and time. Therefore, each session includes a display time, which is the actual date of display, and an author's attendance time, which is the actual time of presentation. We schedule all poster sessions in parallel with oral sessions. Poster boards are in landscape format, and authors can make use of the full dimensions of 80 cm width × 100 cm height. All the material necessary for attaching the poster to the poster board is available at the facility desk in the respective poster area. There are assistants to help authors hang or take down posters.

We won't consider abstracts without registration fees.

Please send the abstracts along with the registration form and the fee payment document to the following emails:

Authors of accepted abstracts are required to prepare and submit their full paper for publishing (the deadline is 1st January, 2026). Send the full paper as a Word document, with a minimum length of 4 pages and a maximum length of 10 pages, including tables, figures, and references. We will peer-review all accepted papers, ensuring they are original, high-quality research with no prior publication. Write the paper clearly and concisely in Arabic or English. We encourage authors who are not fluent in English to have a native English speaker check and edit their manuscript. The reviewing process does not include the correction of grammatical errors. We may reject papers with a high number of grammatical and syntax errors.
